Aristeia is loosely defined as “excellence.” From Ancient Greek aristos (“best”), aristeia describes a scene in the dramatic conventions of epic poetry when the hero or heroine experiences their greatest moment in battle.

Kimberly Maske-Mertz holds a BA in English/Writing and a MA in Language and Literature, both from Wilson College in Chambersburg, PA. As an adjunct professor of English and Communications at Wilson College, she has many years of experience teaching writing in a variety of mediums and over ten years of experience in writing and editing overall.
During her time at Wilson, she has also acted as both Editor-in-Chief and Student Media Adviser for The Wilson Billboard newsmagazine and The Bottom Shelf Review literary magazine.
In her spare time, Kimberly writes both Young Adult and New Adult fiction in a variety of genres.
